Seventh Grade Reflection

As my seventh grade year comes to a close, I would like to remember how this year shaped me, and the life lessons that I learned. So here’s a blog post on just that.

On the fist day of school, I walked into my classes expecting them to be just like last year; easy. I was wrong. The lessons were on things that I hadn’t heard of before, and there was a ton of homework. I was getting more eighties than nineties, and more seventies than one hundreds. I needed a change.

By winter break, I had brought most of my classes up to A’s and had learned many valuable lessons along the way. For on thing, I learned how to budget my time better, and take more thoughtful (and legible!) notes. I also started truly paying attention during class instead of half-listening, half-daydreaming. I believe that these three things are what helped me survive this year.

As the year went on, I was spending a lot less time on homework, but still getting better grades on it. I also got all of my classes up to an A! (for a few days until one of them dropped down to an 89). Nowadays I am focusing during class and managing my time excellently. And that’s how I survived the seventh grade.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Warning, this blog post is a spoiler. I would recommend to anyone that you wait to see the movie before reading this post.

Last weekend I went to the movie theater to go see Captain America: The Winter soldier, and I really enjoyed watching it.
In the movie Captain America was working for an organization called Shield, which was slowly becoming corrupted. Soon when the leader of Shield is assassinated and replaced with a shady character, Captain America decides to go rogue to stop Shield from launching A.I. (artificial intelligence) drones into the sky. Following Captain Americas disappearance, Shield sends the Captains best friend (who was thought to be dead) after him as an assassin. Right before Captain America is about to stop the drone launch, the assassin catches up with him. After a huge fight he realizes that his friend had been lost his memory, and reminds him of who he is. Finally they work together to shutdown the drone program.

That movie was my favorite movie that I had seen in a long time. Reading my description of it probably wasn’t the same experience as watching it in person. But nevertheless I hope that you will/did enjoy watching as much as I did.

Saturday Morning

It’s a Saturday morning, I have just woken up and I’m already going there.
My dad and I were heading to play an early nine holes of golf. We arrived shortly (we live very close). We started our routine we went to go get a cart, and then we were off.
Before I knew it we drove up to the 9th hole.
I selected my driver.
I teed up the ball.
I stood up…
And I swung.

Halloween Front Porch

“Don’t go to Whirly Street!” My parents called after me as I ran down the steps to join my friends. I grinned, knowing that my friends and I were going to exactly that. “Here it is the scariest house on Whirly Street.” My friend proclaimed quietly. We were all tired after a long night and were starting to want to go home. If only we had listened to ourselves.
