Saturday Morning

It’s a Saturday morning, I have just woken up and I’m already going there.
My dad and I were heading to play an early nine holes of golf. We arrived shortly (we live very close). We started our routine we went to go get a cart, and then we were off.
Before I knew it we drove up to the 9th hole.
I selected my driver.
I teed up the ball.
I stood up…
And I swung.

The Giver

A while ago I finished a great book called The Giver, and I think I would like to share my thoughts about it.

The book is about a distant future in which the government takes away all possible means of making a decision for yourself. Everything seems alright for Jonas until he gets selected to be the receiver of memory for his community and gets taken into training by the past receiver. Soon after he begins his training he and the past receiver devise a plan to help there community be able to make a decision, which involves Jonas escaping the community and try to find another place of human inhabitance.

In the end I think that it was a very good book and hope that the rest of the class liked it just as much as I did.
